Black Healing Remixed: The Community Care Experience
In a time of chaos, we choose to focus on Community care! That was the theme of this year’s 'Black Healing Remixed'—a pay-what-you-can/free event led by wellness practitioners, therapists, healers, Ballroom icons, and more! On this day, we vogued for wellness, made and learned about herbal remedies, practiced coping strategies in healing circles, and explored the somatics of twerking and dance. We gave away $1,000 in cash support to parents through our Parent Support Fund! We shared delicious Caribbean food and received beautifully donated gifts from our friends at lululemon, Grant Street Candles, FreeFrom, Cantu, Brooklyn Tea, and our beautiful friend Sir John, who donated beauty products. It takes a village to create care—and we did just that.

Melissa is haunted by other worldly beings who prey on her in her recurring cryptic nightmares. Her friend, Esteban, thinks he can help her decipher and find whats in her dream using an app called Quantum-Scounting. Together they confront her nightmare, but by the time she realizes her dreams have been a premonition, its too late.
